Hello,
I'm using your GeoBase 30day trial SDK on a real mobile device with windows mobile 6.5 (at this point, thanks for the .gbl-trial license).
I followed your tutorial for mobile development 'A Simple Mobile Navigation Application' and when I test this small application on my device, panning the map is only possible in slow motion (not the mention the navigation-demo).
So I'm curious about other ways than decreasing the mapQuality to improve performance of rendering, so the slow motion effect lessens to an acceptable degree.
Perhaps you can help me... -

Hi Skn,
What type of device do you have?
The hardware properties of your device (speed, memory, storage card, screen resolution, ...) play an important role in the performance.
Also, which version of GeoBase do you use? -

Hi PepitaL,
I do have a Smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.5 and I'm using the GeoBase 3.5 SDK.
Technical Specs HTC HD2:
1GHz CPU, 448 MB RAM, 2GB SD-Card and the resolution is 800x480 px.
Indeed, the smaller the mapCtrl is, the faster is the rendering when panning or zooming. But a tiny map is'nt what I want.
My current workaround is to set the UiEnable to false and to use only the current BackgroundImage of the mapCtrl for panning. And when I'm done with panning (OnMouseUp), I set the Center-Property of the mapCtrl.
But that's not really nice. Also, it only works for manual panning. -

Hi,
Your mobile specification seems good enough.
Have you tried to use the sample program MobileNav provided with the SDK?
Since we may have a few back and forth emails, I would suggest you to send your technical request to gbsupport@telogis.com. It'd be probably me or a support team member who would respond but at least we will have record of our thread of emails.
