Hello,
My license file is being rejected by GeoBase after upgrading to 3.0.5. When opening MapExplorer, I'm presented with the following dialog:
Invalid license: the license you have selected does not support GeoBase 3.0.5.0. If you do not have a valid license for this version please contact your sales representative, or register for a trial.
Our license *is* valid for 3.0.5, and other devs on my team are having no trouble.
The problem is that at no point during the install process am I asked to provide a license file, it seems to be detecting one on my system and using that instead. I've tried a few things already with no luck:
* Uninstalling and reinstalling GeoBase
* Uninstalling GeoBase, deleting all GeoBase-related registry keys, reinstalling GeoBase
* Uninstalling GeoBase, installing an old version of GeoBase (the 3.0 beta will still ask for my license key), and upgrading to 3.0.5
I need some way of removing an existing license on my system and putting a license back in. Is there any such tool?
I'm not sure if this is related, but I do get an error during installation complaining that ASP.NET isn't installed and needs to be installed. ASP.NET is installed, so I don't know whether this is a bad check, or if I don't have the exact version the installer is looking for.
Thanks. Help appreciated. -

Hi Brandon,
You pointed out 2 issues in your post, the ASP.NET error and the invalid license error.
For the first one, you should check your ASP.NET version. It should be 2.0 or newer. What is the exact error message
You also should check that ASP.NET is allowed for your website (In IIS, go to WebExtension properties nad check ASP.NET permission is set to "Allowed")
For your second issue, please check on your computer that you do not have several licenses at different places (search for *.lic). Your licence should only be in one place: C:\Program Files\Telogis\GeoBase\GeoBaseResources\licenses
If none of these suggestions works, please let me know the configuration you run: OS and ServicePack if any, the exact error message(s) you get and your IIS version.

Hello Pepita,
Thanks again. I went to my licenses directory and deleted the file in there and replaced it with our current license (I'm not sure where the old file came from, but it appeared to be a different version of our new license).
As far as the ASP error: I have ASP.NET > 2.0, but it's possible I'm having trouble because I'm only running IIS 5.1. Either way, this doesn't seem to be causing a problem for me right now, so I'm just going to leave it (other people on my team who installed the new version got the same error).
Thanks!
